IB Visual ArtThese classes offers students the ability to take their work one step farther. Students begin by taking Art 1 or PIB Art 1. Then they take IB Art 1 their junior year and IB Art 2 their senior year. During these classes students continue a curriculum based upon Criticism, Aesthetics, Studio, and Art History. Next, they develop a concentration or theme from which they will create multiple high level pieces. Students are challenged to create works that are both technically proficient as well as innovative and personal. The final evaluation for the class is an exhibition at the Bay Gallery. The classes are highly engaging and prepare students for many problem solving opportunities of the future. IB Art Student Resources
